I am the primary tech reporter for Built In Boston, the No. 1 online community for tech and startups. Tech companies, from seed funded to Fortune 500, look to Built In to build awareness amongst their local tech community, promote their unique story and connect them with top talent.

As a staff writer for Digital Marketplaces at Boston.com, I covered the jobs section for the Greater Boston area, pitching, writing, and editing 10+ stories per week for this news organization with more than 5 million unique visitors per month. I also helped manage our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. As the jobs writer, I wrote numerous profiles of entrepreneurs, CEOs, and self-starters, and dove into fascinating local trends like the tech boom, and changes in the health and education industries. Since taking over sole staff reporting duties for the jobs section in the final months of 2015, my section drew an average of 386,387 monthly visits over the first six months of 2016 — a 72 percent increase over the monthly average for all of 2015.

As a teaching assistant for a Communication 101 course, I designed lesson plans and exams about communication and the media for three semesters of BU college freshmen. I also led weekly discussion sessions with ~20 students and graded their classroom work and exams.
